Friends of the Library meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month from September through November and January through May in the Conference Room at the Borger Branch of the Library.

If you are not a member it is easy to become one! Your membership is tax deductible and enables you to all of the wonderful benefits of being a ‘Friend of the Library’! Annual dues are $10.00. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask one of the members of the Friends of the Library or the Library staff.

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Hutchinson County Library focuses on advocating for and promoting the library’s programs and resources to ensure it remains a vital, accessible asset for everyone in the county. The support includes securing funds for materials and programs beyond the budget, supporting literacy and acting as a liaison between the public, civic organizations, local businesses and the library.

Through membership dues, donations, and book sale proceeds, Friends of the Library provides support to the Hutchinson County Library for:

  • Summer Reading Program
  • Ongoing Children’s Programming
  • Library Tools and Resources
  • Expanded Book Collections
  • Community Seed Exchange Program

Book Sales

Book Sales are held twice a year- in the spring and the fall. Book Sales are made possible through donations f used books by the community. Book donations may be dropped off during library hours.
